On June 22, following two years of planning and public engagement, the Metropolitan Council approved the METRO E Line Final Corridor Plan. This action finalizes E Line station locations, determining the corner of the intersection where each platform will be placed. Approval of the plan allows the project to move into the design phase, where specific details like the precise location of shelters and other amenities within station areas will be determined.

Over the next two years station and platform layout designs will be finalized for construction. Construction is planned to begin in 2024.
