Construction updates to move to monthly distribution
As new construction activities slowdown, construction updates will be sent every month instead of weekly. The next update will arrive mid-October.

Construction continues at these intersections:

Construction includes partial street reconstruction, new station platforms, sidewalk, driveway apron, pedestrian ramps, signals, and utility work

Intersection fully closed the week of Sept. 6, with a full closure in place for one month and 3-4 months of lane restrictions following closure

This week, crews began work on curb and gutter pouring. Next week, crews will begin electrical work and begin work on concrete station areas.

7th St. & Bryant: Temporary lane closures are in place until Sept. 24.
Chicago & 14th St. Four-way stops are still in place.

Chicago & 34th St. Four-way stops are still in place.
Portland & 66th St. No traffic restrictions in place.
Portland & 70th St. No traffic restrictions in place.

American & Thunderbird: No traffic restrictions in place
Route 5 detours continue in Minneapolis
All Route 5 service is detoured off Chicago between 46th St. and 54th St.
Northbound buses will travel regular route on Chicago to 54th St., left on 54th St., right on Portland, right on 46th St., left on Chicago and resume regular route.
Southbound buses will travel regular route on Chicago to 46th St., right on 46th St., left on Portland, left on 54th St. , right on Chicago and resume regular route.
Get on/off buses at: Chicago at 55th St. - Stop #776 (northbound) Temporary stop on Portland Ave & 49th St (northbound) Chicago at 45th St. - Stop #787 (northbound) Chicago Ave. S & 46th St. E - Stop #65 (southbound) Temporary stop on Portland Ave. & 49th St (southbound) Chicago at 55th St. - Stop #74 (southbound)
Emerson Ave. and 26th detour:
Northbound buses will travel regular route on Emerson to 25th Ave, right on 25th Ave., left on Dupont, left on 26th Ave., right on Dupont, left on 27th Ave., right on Emerson and resume regular route. Southbound buses will follow regular route.
Emerson at 25th Ave. - Stop #8930 (northbound)
Emerson at 29th Ave. - Stop #8933 (northbound)
Fremont Ave. & 42nd Detour
Northbound buses will travel regular route on Fremont to 41st Ave., left on 41st Ave., right on Girard, left on 43rd St. and resume regular route. Southbound buses will travel regular route on 43rd Ave. to Girard, right on Girard, left on 41st St., right on Fremont and resume regular route.
