Staying updated on our COVID-19 response

Employees and managers are asked to use the following resources to stay up to date on the Met Council’s COVID-19 response and receive all the information they need to do their jobs and stay healthy:

  • Employees can review this staff Frequently Asked Questions page for information around some of the common questions around this health event. This is updated regularly as we have new information to share.
  • Managers and supervisors should review the staff FAQ and the managers FAQ for more specific information on leading their teams and being a resource for staff.
  • Check your email for regular all-staff emails from leadership with new guidance and updates to protocol related to the outbreak. Check out the MetNet article for recent updates

And as always, please keep an eye on our internal newsletters and the MetNet home page for updates on the health event so you can stay informed should the situation change.

For the latest on this disease, visit the Minnesota Department of Health website and the CDC website.

Who ya gonna call?

As remote working has increased, it is imperative that the Council has updated contact information for employees. Therefore, we ask that you log in into Employee Self Service (ESS) and update your phone information.

For assistance logging in, please refer to the ESS Login Guide.  Check out additional ESS information.

Electronic collaboration tools

Microsoft Teams is our new collaboration tool which allows for chatting, video meetings, group collaboration, and many other features. These tools can be very helpful if you are teleworking. The new Learn system has five online courses that can help get you started. There is also helpful information on the Teams MetNet page.

You can expand your knowledge of Microsoft OneDrive by taking the three online courses in the new Learn system. There are also many great resources on the OneDrive page on MetNet.

Webex Meetings was recently rolled out to Met Council employees and video-enabled conference rooms to streamline video conference meetings for internal, remote, and external participants. Online courses are available here. The Met Council has also added another Webex Meetings 101 Basics training on March 27.

To access courses in the new Learn system, go to the Talent Hub page in MetNet and click on Learn. Once in Learn click on the magnifying glass in the upper right to search for either Microsoft Office 365 Teams or OneDrive for business 2017.

If you have questions about Learn, please contact Learn@metc.state.mn.us.
