Celebrating the Office of Ombudsman for Long-Term Care Volunteers

During National Volunteer Week (April 19–25), the Office of Ombudsman for Long-Term Care (OOLTC) proudly recognizes the meaningful and impactful contributions of Certified Ombudsman Volunteers (COVs) across Minnesota.
Working in partnership with Regional Ombudsmen, COVs play a vital role in supporting residents of long-term care facilities. They help resolve concerns and complaints, provide education on resident rights and empower people to advocate for themselves. Through their dedication, COVs strengthen the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program and enhance quality of life for residents across Minnesota.
The OOLTC is grateful for the heart, commitment and unwavering advocacy volunteers bring to this work. The entire OOLTC is honored to stand alongside these extraordinary individuals. COVs are celebrated not only for what they do, but for the hope, comfort and meaningful change they bring to the lives of long-term care residents each day.
National Volunteer Week is also an opportunity to grow the volunteer community.
