Updated - County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 22 (55th ST NW) Press Release and New Detour Map
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Olmsted County Public Works is announcing the following road construction project beginning next week.
County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 22:
Reconstruction of CSAH 22 (55th Street NW) between TH 52 and County Road (CR) 133 (West River Road NW) is moving into the next stage on August 10, 2020.
Roadway reconstruction on CSAH 22 (55th Street NW) is moving into the next stage with traffic being reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction from Bandel Road NW to CR 112 (18th Ave NW). There will also be a road closure going into effect from CR 112 (18th Ave NW) to CR 133 (West River Road NW). A detour will be provided for the closure and a map is attached.
Doyle Conner is the prime contractor for the $4,200,000 project. The project consists of bituminous pavement removal, concrete surfacing, concrete curb and gutter, and storm sewer work. Construction is anticipated to be complete by October 31, 2020.
Roadway users should expect significant delays and are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible.
Reminder
All roadway users are reminded to always travel with caution, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
