State projects
$1.871 billion forecast balance; $1.206 billion
after allocations to reserves and repayments
ST. PAUL, Minn.—Minnesota’s budget outlook has improved from
previous estimates despite a weaker economic outlook. Minnesota
Management and Budget now projects a forecast balance of $1.871 billion, up
from $865 million at the end of session. $665 million is allocated to
reserves and repayments, leaving an available balance of $1.206 billion for
fiscal year 2016-17.
