City Manager Council Update

A city snow plow begins clearing a cul-de-sac of snow on Monday morning.

Community Development

• Tree ordinance: Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal article.

• The Landings neighborhood meeting: Area residents expressed concerns about the height and size of the proposed development as well as cutting into an existing hill. Traffic impacts were discussed. Residents also noted frequent power outages and teenagers hanging out on private property in the area.

Public Works

• Water Treatment Plant 15 improvements will be completed soon and the plant will be brought back online by the end of April. 
• The city brush drop opens April 1 and runs through Nov. 23.
• Reich Park neighbors received a newsletter about upcoming improvements and an April 9 meeting.

Recreation

Eggstravaganza: We had a fantastic turnout for the return of this event with 500 attendees. The morning was filled with fun live music, cookie decorating, face painting, art projects and most importantly, an egg scavenger hunt.
