MnVFC Announcement

Updated vaccine location finder

We are pleased to announce the launch of an updated vaccine location finder to assist the public in finding facilities that participate in the MnVFC and the UUAV programs. The updated site includes a searchable map with the ability to separate the two programs or search for facilities that are enrolled in both. Several features were added or updated to improve accessibility as well as a searchable table to assist those who prefer an alternate format. Facility addresses, phone numbers, and websites have been added where applicable. Facilities serving specific populations (i.e. students, tribes or FQHC) are distinguished with an asterisk. Connections to Minnesota’s neighboring states were added to assist those who are near the state border in finding their nearest location. You can view the updated vaccine finder here at Vaccine Map.

Nirsevimab Phase III ordering event

The third and final phase of nirsevimab (Beyfortus) ordering via the Minnesota Vaccine for Children (MnVFC) program will be available soon.

How to order

Providers will place an order for the doses they expect to need in a special event in MIIC that will be open Thurs., Jan. 2 to Fri., Jan. 10. The requests submitted to this ordering event should reflect the number of doses sites will need until the season ends Mar. 31.

You can access this event in MIIC’s vaccine management section by clicking “request special vaccine event” then selecting the event titled “2024-2025 Nirsevimab Phase 3.” If you realize you need more doses than you initially requested, you can submit additional requests for more doses at any time after the initial ordering period.

For more information visit MIIC Provider User Guide: Special Event Vaccine Request (PDF).

The MnVFC program is interested in enrolling birthing hospitals for nirsevimab and hepatitis B vaccine. Information on enrollment is available at How to Enroll in the MnVFC Program. For the benefits of enrollment, visit Birthing Institutions and the Vaccines for Children Program (PDF).
