The Minnesota Health Care Loan Forgiveness Program
In order to help meet the health care needs of medically underserved rural and urban areas of Minnesota, the competitive Minnesota Loan Forgiveness program awards loan forgiveness to various Minnesota health care professionals serving in high-need areas - those parts of the state needing additional primary care, dental and mental health providers and services. (Shortage Designations)
This program is entirely funded by the state of Minnesota and is administered by the MDH Office of Rural Health and Primary Care. The Loan Forgiveness program is currently accepting applications for eligible professions until 11:59 p.m., January 6, 2023.
