COVID-19 Vaccine Site Visit Information

In compliance with our federal grant providing COVID-19 vaccine, we are beginning to conduct COVID-19 vaccine site visits. The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) will be doing site visits for all providers getting vaccine through the state allocation (either shipped directly or through redistribution). Site visits will start in the coming weeks for those sites with high vaccination rates and providers who only store vaccine. Other COVID-19 sites will be visited over the next two years of the grant.

At the visit, site visitors will review training documentation, billing processes, vaccine management plans, and inspect storage units and temperature logs. They will also observe you drawing up and administering vaccine. Additional information about what to prepare for the site visit will be sent to you when the appointment is scheduled.

Watch for a communication from MDH in the coming months. If you are not contacted to receive a visit this year, site visits will continue in 2022.
