AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine Added to MIIC

The ability to document the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine product has been added to MIIC’s production environment. Please ensure that you are documenting the correct vaccine product, especially when entering immunization data directly into the user interface.

AstraZeneca is not approved for use in the United States. However, adding it to MIIC will assist in the documentation of AstraZeneca vaccine received overseas or during clinical trials. All AstraZeneca vaccine entered into MIIC will show as NOT VALID until the product is approved for use in the United States.
