Body Art Technician Licensing System is Live!

We are excited to announce all new applications and renewals can be submitted through the online system Body Art Technician Licensing System. The mobile-optimized system is the fastest path to complete all the steps to licensing, including the on-demand printing of your license.

All technicians with a current license are encouraged to claim their license to activate their account.

• Go to (insert link) to enter the portal.
• Create an account by registering yourself as a new user.
• Once you’re registered, you’ll see “Claim Your License.”
• Enter your Minnesota body art license number and social security number.
• Select “Claim License.”
• Then select “Home” to view your dashboard.

If your license is due for a renewal within the next 60 days, you’ll see the “renew” button. If you’ve completed the bloodborne pathogen training, you’re encouraged to complete your renewal now.
