SUN Bucks Local-Level Administrative Cost Reimbursement Opportunity

Overview

Minnesota Statutes 2025, section 124D.119, subdivision 1, authorizes $150,000 from the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program Aid to reimburse eligible schools and school districts for administrative costs associated with the SUN Bucks program (formerly the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program, SEBT).

These funds will be provided as reimbursements and not be supplanting but rather supplementing existing budgets. The performance period for this reimbursable amount is for the SUN Bucks Program Year 2025.

Funding Distribution

Reimbursement amounts will be calculated based on the number of eligible students submitted by each school or district through the SUN Bucks Eligibility Data Upload Portal during the program eligibility year. No application is required to receive these funds. Payments will be distributed through the Cyber-Linked Interactive Child Nutrition System (CLiCS).

Recording the Funds

Payments will have the description "SEBT Transfer Program Aid Reimbursement" and should be recorded in your finance system using the UFARS Source Code 300.

The fund dimension will depend on where the expense fell for administering the SUN Bucks program. RXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-300.
