Upcoming EDIAM Security Maintenance August 1–4

Minnesota IT (MNIT) Services and the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) are preparing for scheduled maintenance of MDE’s Education Identity & Access Management (EDIAM) Security System Aug. 1–4. All EDIAM-secured web applications and secure reports will be unavailable starting 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1 for security system maintenance. All impacted web applications and secure reports will be available again by 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 4.

After the maintenance is complete, the link to launch the EDIAM User Profile system will change to: https://sec.education.mn.gov/EDIAMProfile/. MDE website links will be updated during migration. However, any users who bookmarked the old EDIAM User Profile link in their web browser will have to update their bookmark after the migration. The MDE website has instructions on How to create a web browser favorite for an EDIAM-secured application. This, and other information, can be found on the Data Submissions webpage.

Any EDIAM Security System issues encountered after migration should be reported to the EDIAM Helpdesk at useraccess.mde@state.mn.us.

New Pearson Support Website

In August, Pearson will transition from the current non-secure PearsonAccess Next website (minnesota.pearsonaccessnext.com) to a new website. This website will remain non-secure, meaning it is accessible to district and school staff, families, students, and the general public without a username or login. This new website will also contain links to all Pearson services and resources used by Minnesota school districts for test administration, training, and reporting.
