This public review and comment period is open until July 18, 2025 on the Draft 2 K–12 Academic Standards in Health. The Draft 2 Health Standards Public Comment online survey and the comments submitted are centered on the creation of Minnesota K–12 Academic Standards in Health. However, the Draft 2 survey requests feedback on the wording of the Career and College Readiness statement, the 7 Strands, 8 Anchor Standards and the accompanying benchmarks. The results of the comment period will be reviewed by the Health Standards Committee and will be used for preparing the third draft, which will be available in the fall.
Public comments play a powerful role in shaping Minnesota’s health education standards. Sharing your ideas especially when they are clear, respectful, and based on your experiences or examples from other standards can help make sure all students get what they need to thrive.
Your input can help ensure the standards reflect the needs of all Minnesota students and communities.
