Updated Agreement Templates for Sponsoring Organizations

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) is required to provide a written permanent agreement template for use between a sponsoring organization and legally separate site, 7 CFR 226.6(p)(1). This agreement specifies the rights and responsibilities of both parties. MDE has four updated versions available on the corresponding program’s Applications website.

School Nutrition Programs (SNP)

On Site Reviews: Complete by February 1

By February 1, School Food Authorities operating two or more sites must complete an on-site review of the National School Lunch Program at all sites and at least 50% of the sites operating the School Breakfast Program. Be sure that each breakfast site is monitored at least once every two years. The review should occur during meal service to ensure meal counting and claiming procedures are accurate. If any corrective action is required from the initial review, a follow-up visit must occur within 45 days to ensure all issues are resolved. Use MDE’s School Breakfast and Lunch On-Site Review Form when conducting the on-site reviews.
