Better Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The revamped FAFSA form – also known as “Better FAFSA” – takes many students less than 20 minutes to complete and can unlock up to $7,395 in federal aid that does not need to be repaid to help cover the cost of college. Have students submit the Better FAFSA form and find more information about the FAFSA process on the studentaid.gov website. You can also find additional resources about Better FAFSA on the U.S. Department of Education’s website.

Motivational Interviewing Training
Please let your school mental health provider staff know that Great Lakes Mental Health Technology Transfer Center is offering Motivational Interviewing training through the Addiction Technology Transfer Center network. The training will be provided through four levels in the coming year, including Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT). This level 1 training will be provided on May 15, 22 and 29. There is no charge. Minnesota is being given priority for registration. View more information and register on the attcnetwork.org website.
