USDA Foods Processing Carry-Over Policy Reminder

The first business day in April, pounds in excess of 25% of the year’s allocated pounds will be transferred, or swept, into the state’s account. Pounds will be reallocated to those sponsors that have demonstrated proper utilization. The FDP will work with the manufacturers and brokers to determine these sponsors. To avoid pounds being swept, sponsors with over 25% of the year’s allocated pounds must contact FDP by March 31. Retention of pounds in the sponsor’s account will be on a case-by-case basis.

Update Sponsor Contact and Distributor Selection Information

Sponsors are required to update their sponsor contact information and ensure they have selected and confirmed a distributor in the The Cyber-Linked Interactive Child Nutrition System (CLiCS) prior to the start of SY 2024-25. If your school contracts with a food service management company or vended meals provider, it is the sponsor’s responsibility to ensure the correct distributor information is provided.
