Reminder: P-EBT Portal Final Deadline
The P-EBT program is ending, and this is the last disbursement deadline.
The last P-EBT data submission for the 2022-23 school year is Monday, July 31, 2023, at 4 p.m.
This is the last P-EBT data submission opportunity for:
- Missed school year COVID-19 impacts between 9/6/2022–5/11/2023.
- Missed free/reduced-price lunch students for summer benefit eligibility.
- Newly approved homeschool and virtual students and corresponding COVID-19 impact dates.
Homeschool and Virtual Student Reminders
Reminder that home and virtual schools require a school COVID-19 impact declaration for students to qualify for P-EBT benefits. Follow the prompts under the “Schools” tab to confirm all students uploaded under the home or virtual school have an approved P-EBT application and met the P-EBT 2022-23 eligibility criteria for homeschool and virtual students.
Additional reminder to include COVID-19 start and end dates for homeschool and virtual students in the bulk upload or in the student’s record in the portal. Home and virtual students need COVID-19 dates in order to qualify for P-EBT benefits. The student’s 2022-23 home or virtual school enrollment would be the COVID-19 impact date range.
For example, if Student A is homeschooled from Sept. 6, 2022, through March 31, 2023, then Student A’s COVID-19 Impact start date is Sept. 6, 2022, and their COVID-19 impact end date is March 31, 2023.
Students Not Sent to DHS (Department of Human Services)
Newly-entered summer students for the July 31, 2023 deadline will remain at “Step 1” until after the deadline. Students entered for the June 30, 2023 deadline that have not been “Sent to DHS” are missing data in the portal, or data is not matching against Minnesota Automated Reporting Student System (MARSS).
School staff must review the “Student Data Validation” report under the reports tab to determine data errors and edit the data via bulk upload, the student’s portal record or MARSS to fix the issue.
