Portal is Now Open
The P-EBT Portal is now open for data entry of Newly Eligible applications. ONLY Newly Eligible applications received between July 1–September 2, 2022, can be entered at this time. October 31, 2022 will be the final deadline for data entry of Newly Eligible to qualify for late November 2022 summer benefits disbursement.
To upload data for the Newly Eligible applications received between July 1– September 2, 2022, use the existing CSV P-EBT Excel Template. Guidance for data entry:
- No COVID-19 impacts can be entered.
- No 2021-2022 school year data can be entered in the portal.
- School Year 2022-23 applications for Educational Benefits must be received between July 1–September 2, 2022, and date stamped no later than September 2, 2022.
- Use the enrollment date for the 2022-23 school year as the start date.
- If a child is identified via Medicaid Direct Certification between July 1–September 2, 2022, use the date on the Medicaid Direct Certification report for the free or reduced-price date.

P-EBT 2022-23 School Year
P-EBT school year 2022-2023 guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) was received September 8, 2022. The Minnesota Department of Education is in the process of reviewing the guidance. MDE will develop an implementation plan and schools will be notified once the plan is approved.
