Micro-Purchase Threshold Memo

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) recently released a new memo on changes to the micro-purchase threshold language in 2 CFR 200.320(a). This memo highlights updated language on distributing micro-purchases equitably among qualified suppliers, criteria for awarding micro-purchases without soliciting competitive price or rate quotations, and information on how to determine and document an appropriate micro-purchase threshold. Verification Reporting Reminder

The school year (SY) 2021-22 Application for Educational Benefits verification process should now be complete and the results are due in the Cyber-Linked Interactive Child Nutrition System (CLiCS) by end of day on December 1. It is recommended that you review the SY 2021-22 Verification Workbook prior to beginning the report in CLiCS.

Measure Progress and Compliance for Your Wellness Policy’s Triennial Assessment

Child Nutrition Conference Scholarships Available  

Apply for a scholarship to attend the National CACFP Sponsors Association (NCA) conference in New Orleans or attend virtually April 18–22, 2022. The conference focuses on the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), the At-Risk Afterschool Component of CACFP and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Applications are due by January 10, 2022, and recipients will be notified by February 9, 2022. Additional conference and scholarship application information is available on the NCA website.
