Physical Holding Reporting Update

Take Steps Now to Ensure You Are Ready for Stepwell MN

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) is expecting that Stepwell MN will be ready for your physical holding data very soon. While you wait, please follow the steps below to make sure you’ll be ready to access Stepwell.

  1. Make sure your district’s Identified Official with Authority (IOwA) has authorized your access in Education Identity and Access Management (EDIAM). You will need to be assigned as a District Leader to access Stepwell.  If you need help securing EDIAM access, visit the Data Submissions page or email useraccess.mde@state.mn.us with questions.
  2. Login to Stepwell through EDIAM using the following process:
  • Access the link (https://secure.education.mn.gov/EDIAMProfile) or select the “Enter Stepwell MN” link on MDE’s Stepwell MN page.
  • Enter your User ID and password (this is the user ID and password that you used to access the Minnesota Continuous Improvement Monitoring Process, MNCIMP) and click on “Login.”
  • Under “Authorized Applications," look for “Stepwell” and select.
  • Click on “Minnesota Users Click Here” which is a blue bar above the login fields.
  • Enter your User ID and password (just like above) one more time, and click on “login.”
  • Confirm that your email address is correct in Stepwell and you have access to the expected school districts and charter schools.

Note that you will not be able to enter your physical holding data at this time, but completing these steps now is critical to ensure you’ll be able to access the physical holding data workstream when it is time.

A recording of last week’s Stepwell MN training, as well as a copy of Stepwell’s Powerpoint presentation, will be made available shortly. Thank you for your patience.
