District Outreach

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) is continuing to increase awareness among districts about the requirements of implementing Counting All Students, and has planned to do several presentations in the coming months. MDE has recently hired someone to provide technical support to districts, and is in the process of hiring a communications specialist to assist with communication to all stakeholders including parents and community members.

Counting All Students

The All Kids Count Act is legislation that requires the Minnesota Department of Education to collect more detailed ancestry or ethnic origin information about students in order to better understand and identify educational needs of all students in Minnesota.
