Report on Unpaid Student Meal Charges

Thank you to all public school districts who responded to the Unpaid Student Meal Charges survey in March. The findings are now available in the Unpaid Student Meal Charges report. The report will be shared with stakeholder groups in the coming weeks.


Distributor Selection Deadline

The deadline for sponsors to complete distributor selection for 2018-19 is quickly approaching. Make your selection in the Cyber-Linked Interactive Child Nutrition System (CLiCS 1) by May 15. Sponsors who utilize a Food Service Management Company (FSMC) or have a Contract for Vended Meals in place should work with that company to ensure the May 15 deadline is met. If you are currently in the bidding process for a new distributor, you may request a deadline extension, subject to Food Distribution Program (FDP) approval, via email to Instructions to access your Customer Profile Screen can be found on the Minnesota Department of Education website.


2018-19 Renewal Applications

The following renewal applications are available to submit online in the Cyber-Linked Interactive Child Nutrition System (CLiCS) on or before June 11, 2018.

  • School Nutrition Program (SNP)
  • Federal Special Milk Program (SMP)
  • Minnesota Kindergarten Milk Program (MKMP)

Access CLiCS to renew your applications. 

Refer to the Application Renewal Instructions for School Nutrition Programs 2018-19 and Milk Programs Application Renewal Instructions 2018-19 on the Minnesota Department of Education – Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) website. 

When an application renewal is approved for the 2018-19 program year, a CLiCS system-generated email confirming approval will be sent to the email address for the contact person listed on the sponsor application. Sponsors must ensure that the email address and contact information on the sponsor and site application(s) are current and accurate.

Reminder: Community Eligibility Provision Application

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Applications for School Year 2018-19 are due no later than June 30, 2018.
