CACFP Halftime: Thirty on Thursdays
These live,
30-minute webinars cover ways to plan tasty and healthy meals that meet
the Child and Adult Care Food Programs (CACFP) meal pattern requirements. These
webinars are provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and are
beneficial for CACFP sponsors, At-Risk Afterschool Meals sponsors and School Nutrition
professionals working with the Preschool meal patterns. Certificates of
participation will be provided for those who attend. Webinars are presented on
the third Thursday of every month, in English 1-1:30 p.m., CT (2-2:30 p.m.,
ET), and in Spanish 2-2:30 p.m., CT (3-3:30 p.m., ET).

Share Your Expert Ideas Related to
School Breakfast
In the last few years,
have you implemented breakfast in the classroom, grab and go, or second chance
breakfast? Have you incorporated marketing strategies to promote your School
Breakfast Program (SBP)? We want to hear about it!
The Minnesota
Department of Education’s Team Nutrition initiative is developing a new
resource for the SBP. This resource will highlight examples of breakfast
programs that have been successful. The resource will contain ideas, tips, and
photos from schools all across the state.
It’s time to share
YOUR story! We hope to hear from a wide variety of schools –
rural/suburban/urban, small/large districts, charter schools, and
public/private. Stories are being collected online through SurveyGizmo until

USDA Webinar ‒ Breaking Up is Hard to Do: Considerations at the End of a CEP Cycle
February 14, 2018, at 12 p.m., CT
School year 2017-18 is the fourth year of CEP for schools that implemented the program when it first became nationally available in school year 2014-15. Join us for a webinar Wednesday, February 14, that will highlight special considerations when ending CEP, including best practices for resuming standard counting/claiming or switching to another special provision option.
Target Audience: Local educational agencies (LEAs), State agencies, Regional offices, and National offices. State agencies should distribute this announcement to LEAs promptly to ensure all Program operators have the opportunity to participate.

Florida Hospital Association Shines a
Light on Summer Meals in Hospitals
In October, the Florida Hospital Association hosted the
first of a two-part webinar on the topic of summer meals in hospitals. A recording of the webinar Serving Healthy Meals in Hospitals, Part One, is available on their website, as well as a PDF version of the
slide deck. Resources from Part Two of the series will be available in the
