Dole Fresh Vegetables Issues Recall

September 10, 2021 - Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc.  is voluntarily recalling a limited number of cases of conventional Curly Leaf Parsley. The product being recalled is Dole® Curly Leaf Parsley, with harvest dates of Aug. 18, 2021, and Aug. 19, 2021.  A random, routine regulatory sample tested positive for non-O157 STEC (Shigatoxin-producing E. coli). Dole Fresh Vegetables is coordinating closely with regulatory officials in connection with the Recall; no illnesses have been reported.

SAS Foods Enterprises Inc. Issues Recall

September 13, 2021 - SAS Foods Enterprises Inc. is recalling approximately 3,768 pounds of beef and chicken empanada products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection and bearing a label with a false USDA mark of inspection. The frozen, fully cooked beef and chicken empanada items were produced on various dates from Jan. 1, 2020 through Sept. 11, 2021. The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 38548” inside the USDA mark of inspection; however, the recalling company has no affiliation with Establishment 38548. These items were shipped to retail consignees in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
