We made updates to the following documents:
- The Start Up Loan Program Affidavit (formerly known as Borrower Affidavit)
- Required Forms Summary
- NEW! Assignment of Mortgage Cover Letter: Settlement Agent Instructions
- Checklists for Start Up and Step Up
What changed in these documents?
Start Up Loan Program Affidavit
- An occupying non-borrowing spouse, occupying co-signer and any other occupant who will be on title will be required to attest to and sign the affidavit along with Borrower(s).
- Updated the signature page
Required Forms Summary
- Removed the Borrower Affidavit and added the Start Up Loan Program Affidavit
NEW! Assignment of Mortgage Cover Letter: Settlement Agent Instructions
- Provides instructions for settlement agent
- Includes a fillable assignment of mortgage
Checklists for Start Up and Step Up
Removed the Borrower Affidavit and added the Start Up Loan Program Affidavit to the following checklists:
- All Start Up: Conventional, FHA, RD, VA
The Assignment of Mortgage Cover Letter: Settlement Agent Instructions has been added to the following checklists:
- Start Up: Conventional with DPL/DPL+ and Conventional with MPL
- Start Up: FHA with DPL/DPL+ and FHA with MPL
- Start Up: RD with DPL/DPL+ and RD with MPL
- Start Up: VA with DPL/DPL+ and VA with MPL
- Step Up: Conventional with MPL
- Step Up: FHA with MPL
- Step Up: RD with MPL
- Step Up: VA with MPL
Timeline
- The Start Up Loan Program Affidavit must be used for Start Up loans locked on or after October 1, 2025.
- Start Up Program Required Forms Summary, the Assignment of Mortgage Cover Letter: Settlement Agent Instructions and the Start Up and Step Up Checklists can be used for loans locked on or after October 1, 2025.
