What you need to know Wednesday, April 8 at the Minnesota House of Representatives
Wednesday's schedule is lighter on meetings as some committees aren't convening now that the policy bill deadline has passed.
At 3 p.m., the House Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee will hear HF3753, which would establish a school safety threat assessment pilot program.
Also at 3 p.m., a constitutional amendment proposal is on the agenda of the House Housing Finance and Policy Committee. HF3279 proposes increasing the sales tax rate by three-eighths of a percent, earmarked for housing purposes.
Earlier in the day, the House Workforce, Labor, and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee will hear HF4477 at 8:15 a.m.; it would establish a Minnesota business recovery loan program.
HF4609, which would require health plans to cover infertility treatment and standard fertility preservation services, is on the docket for the House Health Finance and Policy Committee at 1 p.m.
