What you need to know Tuesday, May 13 at the Minnesota House of Representatives
It’ll be another hot day outside and another day of the clock ticking down to May 19 inside the Capitol.
Will this be the day legislative leaders and the governor reach a global agreement on budget targets? Or another day of leaders entering the governor's office saying they're still optimistic all can be solved by Monday's deadline? Tick. Tick. Tick.
Conference committee activity continues Tuesday, beginning with human services conferees meeting for the first time at 8 a.m. Meeting again are state government and elections at 9 a.m.; higher education at 1 p.m.; and public safety and judiciary at 1 p.m., or the call of the chair.
On the floor this afternoon, the House plans to take up the tax bill.
Meetings can pop up with short notice late in session — be sure to check the House schedule and House webcast schedule throughout the day to follow Tuesday's action.
