What you need to know Tuesday, May 6 at the Minnesota House of Representatives
Our beautiful weather streak continues! What are the chances a committee would consider having an outdoor meeting today?
Lawmakers could hold the first budget bill conference committee (or committees) today. The public safety and judiciary conference committee plans to meet at 1 p.m. or at the call of the chair to walk through the two chambers’ differing public safety bills.
Conferees have been named for other budget bills as well. Will any others get together on shorter notice?
Earlier in the day, the House Workforce, Labor, and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee plans to hear the workforce and labor budget bill, HF2441, at 8:15 a.m. The House Taxes Committee will review the tax bill, HF2437 at 9 a.m.
The House will meet for a floor session at 11 a.m.; no bills are on the Calendar for the Day.
