What you need to know Wednesday, April 2 at the Minnesota House of Representatives
Hope you didn’t have to shovel too much this morning.
The march toward Friday’s first two committee deadlines continues with more policy bills on committee agendas throughout the day: HF1615 (cannabis), HF2403 (commerce), HF2446 (agriculture), HF1378 (elections), HF2464 (health), HF1306 (education) and HF1354 (public safety).
The House Taxes Committee plans to hear Gov. Tim Walz’s tax bill, HF2437, at 10:15 a.m.
In non-policy bill action, at 8:15 a.m. the House Workforce, Labor, and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee will hear HF3030, which would extend the time period for unemployment benefits for laid off miners. And the House Veterans and Military Affairs Division will consider legislation to provide funding to establish a Black veterans support program.
Another paper-pushing floor session is set for 12:15 p.m.
