Break free from winter with the Step to It Challenge

With spring's arrival, it is time to break free from winter and get active with the annual Step to It Challenge, May 3 through May 30. Residents can jump-start warm weather physical activity using this fun, free, four-week challenge.

This year, 24 Hennepin County communities will engage in a friendly competition in three categories:

  • Most Active Community, for the most steps overall
  • Most Active Residents, for the highest average number of steps per participant
  • Most Engaged Community, for the highest percentage of participating residents

Register today

The Step to It Challenge draws thousands of people each year. Starting April 1, people who live or work in the 24 communities can begin registering online at www.steptoit.org

The Minnesota Twins are back as the Step to It corporate sponsor. The top stepper in each community will win four Twins tickets and will be recognized at Target Field during a Twins game this summer.

Watch for listings of registration and challenge events at www.steptoit.org.
