Info: After a three-year hiatus, Bike to Work Day is back. Hennepin County and the City of Minneapolis are partnering with Move Minneapolis for a celebration of biking in all its forms and the ways biking can shape our daily routines. Featuring an assortment of morning pit-stops around the county, a gathering at the Hennepin County Government Center North Plaza in the afternoon and culminating in a group bike ride, Bike to Work Day has something for all types of riders.
Bike to Work Day is celebrated around the nation and recognizes the benefits of using active transportation to get to work, as well as to develop healthy habits. Friday marks the end of a week of programming, including:

Bike trail pit stops - From 8 – 10 a.m., pit stops will offer snacks, coffee and other goodies. Consult the Move Minneapolis website (link below) for a full list of stop locations.

Hennepin County Government Center North Plaza gathering – From 3 – 5 p.m.
- Connect with local bike organizations and view exhibits about future bike projects
- Have a professional check out your ride and give you a tune up or take a spin on electric scooters and bikes
- Hear from local leaders about the value of active transportation starting at 4 p.m., including Hennepin County Commissioner Kevin Anderson, Minneapolis City Council Member Elliot Payne and Minneapolis Bicycle Advisory Committee Chair Elissa Schuman.
- Join group bike ride - starting at 4:45 p.m., leaving from Hennepin County Government Center North Plaza and ending at Art-A-Whirl in Northeast Minneapolis — open to all ages and abilities.
