Hennepin County weekly voting progress for presidential nomination primary

Each week, Hennepin County will provide the latest stats on absentee voting for the 2020 Minnesota presidential nomination primary. Absentee voting in Minnesota began Friday, January 17.


Absentee voting

As of Monday, February 24, at 8:30 a.m. in Hennepin County:

Ballots issued

  • Total ballots issued (mail and in-person absentee voting) – 27,300
  • Ballots issued since Tuesday, February 18 – 5,600

 Ballots received and accepted

  • Total ballots received and accepted (mail and in-person absentee voting) – 15,100
  • Ballots received and accepted since Tuesday, February 18 – 5,100

Pre-registered voters

Hennepin County has more than 778,300 pre-registered voters for the Minnesota presidential nomination primary. Voters in Minnesota have the option to register at their polling place on Election Day, March 3.
