Housing Move-in Date is essential for all Housing Providers
Recording the housing move-in date is a critical step for permanent housing providers. Without the housing move-in date clients are still considered and will be counted as homeless, utilization rates for agencies will not be accurate, and system performance measures will be affected.
Not sure how to enter the Move-In Date?
Our Friends at ICA have put together a helpful Housing Move-In Date brief. They have also assembled several training opportunities:

If you are not sure how your agency or program has been doing in entering the housing move-in date, there is a report that can help you find out! See the steps below for running the Housing Move-In Date monitoring report:
The Housing Move-In Date Monitoring report can be found by opening the following folders: Public Folder => SSA Report Gallery => MN Data Quality Tools.
When running the Housing Move-In Date Monitoring report, the only prompts a housing provider should fill out are Provider, Enter Start Date, and Enter End Date. Within the report is an extensive color-coded error key that explains how to interpret the report's results; note that not every line indicates that there is an error in HMIS.
This sample of de-identified data shows how matching Project Start Dates and Housing Move-In Dates are flagged as potential errors by the report.
