93rd Avenue Bridge (County Road 30) over Elm Creek in Maple Grove

Bridge scheduled for inspection on Tuesday

On Tuesday, June 26, bridge maintenance crews will inspect the 93rd Avenue Bridge (County Road 30) over Elm Creek in Maple Grove.

Weather permitting, inspection of this bridge is expected take between two to three hours to complete, and will occur between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Typically done every one to two years as part of federal guidelines, bridge inspections allow our engineers and technicians to thoroughly examine the bridge to determine if preventative maintenance work is needed.

    Access and traffic impacts

To complete this work, crews will use large bucket trucks called snooper trucks parked on the bridge to examine the sides and underneath the bridge.

As a result, people driving should expect short-term single lane closures, and people walking, biking and rolling should expect sidewalk and/or bike lane closures, where applicable.

We will keep at least one lane for each direction of traffic and one side of the sidewalks open at all times.

Signage, cones and barricades will be on site to guide you around the work areas.

Expect delays when traveling through the area. For your safety and the safety of our crews, please exercise caution and slow down as you travel through the area.
