Primary elections now open in Bloomington and St. Louis Park

Starting June 23, Bloomington and St. Louis Park Ward One voters can vote in the 2017 municipal primaries for city council races. Minnesotans can vote absentee any time now through August 7 by mail or in person at city hall. The primary election day is Tuesday, August 8.

Absentee vote by mail 

The first step is to submit an absentee ballot application.

  • Download the Minnesota absentee ballot application
  • Pick up in person from city hall, school district or county elections office
  • Receive via mail by contacting the city hall, school district or Hennepin County Elections Office, who will mail an application to you

Unregistered voters will also receive voter registration materials with the absentee ballot. Instructions for submitting completed ballots are included with the blank ballot. 

Absentee vote in person

In person absentee voting is available June 23 - August 7 at Bloomington and St. Louis Park city halls:

Regular hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Extended hours before Election Day:

  • Saturday August 5, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Monday August 7, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
