More details

The flag has been on display since September 2002. During a ceremony at the Government Center commemorating the anniversary of 9/11, law enforcement raised the flag using the Minneapolis Fire Department’s aerial ladders.

On Monday, law enforcement will also participate in the National Peace Officers Memorial Day ceremony in the Minneapolis City Hall Rotunda. That event is one of many occurring across the nation to honor and remember law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.
