As the new Webber Park Library opening draws near, the temporary location,
at 4203 Webber Pkwy., Minneapolis, will close permanently at 5 p.m., Saturday, April
29.
The brand new Webber Park Library, at 4440 Humboldt Ave. N., will
open to the public at about 6 p.m., Thursday May 18, after a ribbon cutting and
remarks from local officials. The official program is scheduled to start at
5:15 p.m. The library will remain open until 8 p.m. that day. On Saturday, May
20, the library will host a community celebration and special events that will
last much of the day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Getting ready for a new library
During the closure for relocation, Webber Park Library patrons are
encouraged to visit other Hennepin County libraries:
- North
Regional Library, 1315 Lowry Ave. N. in Minneapolis
- Pierre
Bottineau Library, 55 Broadway St. N.E. in
Minneapolis
- Northeast
Library, 2200 Central Ave. N.E. in Minneapolis
Holds requested to be picked up at the temporary Webber Park
Library will automatically change to North Regional Library. To select a
different pickup location for holds, patrons can Ask Us
online, call 612-543-KNOW

The book return at the current Webber Park Library will also be
closed. Books and other library materials may be renewed or returned to any
other Hennepin
County library. To renew materials by phone, patrons can call the Library’s
renewal line at 612-543-8811. For help renewing or requesting library materials
or selecting an alternate pickup location, Ask Us
