Join your North Minneapolis neighbors in a day of fun and fitness at the fourth annual Fit-4-Fun event, Saturday, September 17, from 8:30 a.m.to 2 p.m., at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center, 1313 Penn Avenue North, Minneapolis.
This celebration of healthy living encourages participants to take a family-friendly 1- or 3-mile walk or run, or a bicycle tour on North Minneapolis bike trails. Participants can try yoga, line dancing, Zumba, obstacle courses and other activities to get their feet moving and their hearts pumping. For the younger set, there will be a Kids Run. There will also be music, prizes – including 40 free bikes – and healthy food options.
In addition, this year’s event theme is food justice. Interactive educational stations will teach people how food affects our well-being. NorthPoint will distribute health and wellness information, and most importantly, provide a setting where everyone can have fun.
A community tradition
In years past, nearly a thousand community members have attend the event. Get information and registration materials on NorthPoint’s website or by calling 612-543-2500.
