Sheriff's Office welcomes 3,000 Sheriffs and guests to Minneapolis

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office will welcome more than 3,000 Sheriffs, staff, and guests as Minneapolis hosts the 2016 National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) Annual Conference and the Major Counties Sheriffs’ Association (MCSA) Annual Summer Meeting.

Here are a few of the highlights:

Hennepin County Warrant Sweep

On Wednesday, June 8, 2016, 75 deputies and officers from across Hennepin County conducted our summer warrant sweep to clear active warrants and make arrests.

This warrant sweep focused on offenders who were wanted for warrants related to violent crime. The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement agencies actively pursue and arrest individuals with warrants daily. A warrant sweep is one more method used to pursue individuals with active warrants.

The Sheriff's Office encourages anyone with an outstanding warrant to turn themselves in.
