Hennepin County will observe National Adoption Day on Saturday, November 21. During court hearings at the Juvenile Justice Center, 19 families will open their hearts and homes to 30 children who have been in the child protection system.
Members of the news media are welcome to witness this year’s National Adoption Day celebrations:
Saturday, November 21, 9 a.m. to noon,

Some families are open to media in their court hearings. The first hearings begin at 9 a.m.; the last hearings start at 10:20 a.m. If you would like to witness a court hearing, please check in before 10:20 a.m.
Please note: Ask for assistance with interviews and photos. Some families would like privacy on this important day. Current foster children cannot be photographed or filmed.
