Reservations Now Open for Summer Tours of the Governor's Residence
ST. PAUL, MN – The 2018 summer tour season at the Minnesota Governor's Residence will kick off on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. The Residence will be open for public tours on June 12th and 26th, July 10th and 24th, and August 7th and 21st from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Tours will begin every 10 minutes. Reservations are welcomed and encouraged for all group sizes, with walk-ins accepted based on availability. Grounds and gardens are open to the public until 1:00pm on tour days. An evening tour on July 31st from 5:00pm – 7:00pm will also be available, with grounds open during the added evening open house.
During the guided tours, volunteer docents from the Women's Auxiliary of the Minnesota Historical Society will be available to answer questions in each room on the First Floor and Lower Level of the Residence. The 1006 Summit Avenue Society will also offer a selection of merchandise available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will help to support the historic Residence.
There is no fee for the tour, but visitors are encouraged to consider bringing a non-perishable food item, as the Governor's Residence is a drop site for Second Harvest Heartland.
