As you may have heard, the State Capitol has been undergoing a
restoration to restore the historic building to its original vision,
update its electrical and mechanical infrastructure, and ensure it is prepared to serve generations of Minnesotans for the next 100 years.
During that restoration, the Governor’s Office temporarily moved to the Veterans Service Building on the Capitol Mall. Now, after about two years, the restoration is nearly complete and will open for the 2017 legislative session. While some construction continues, the Governor is moving back into the historic Governor's Office inside the State Capitol.
Whether you’d like to see the State Capitol building restoration, share your thoughts, or ask a question, here’s how to reach the Governor’s Office in the next few weeks, and going forward.
The Governor's Office is located once again inside the historic State Capitol.
The Governor's office is Room 130 in the State Capitol, on the First Floor, in
the southwest corner of the Capitol building. If you enter from the main, front
entrance, make your way to the First Floor and turn left at the Rotunda; you
will find the entrance to the Governor’s Office on your left.
