Project description: The proposed project, located north of County Road D Court in Vadnais Heights, consists of a multifamily residential development with 180 affordable housing units and common space amenities (dog run, tot lot, and patio). The single building will be one story of at grade below building parking with five stories of rental units above.
The Proposer is not moving forward with the project and has withdrawn all permit applications for the project. If the Proposed Project, Proposer, or other future project is initiated within the same or a portion of the project area, the RGU will re-implement the EAW process and follow the procedure for environmental review beginning at Minn. R. 4410.1400 upon receipt of a new data submittal.

Project description: Olmsted Aggregate is proposing to operate a new aggregate quarry (Airport Quarry) in Olmsted County. The proposed quarry contains 39.22 acres in the City of Rochester and 97.33 acres in High Forest Township for a total of 136.55 acres. The current land use is an agricultural field and a golf course.

Notice title: Great River Energy Iona tap 115-kV transmission line and substation upgrade project Notice description: Todd County is the local governmental unit responsible for approval and permitting of the proposed Great River Energy Iona tap 115-kV transmission line. This involves construction of approximately 0.50 mile of 115-kV transmission line that runs between the Iona Substation (18530 County Road 84, Clarissa, 56440) and Minnesota Power 115-kV line (SE ¼ SW ¼ of Section 33, T131N, R34W). The comment deadline is August 7, 2025. Project information located in eDocket Number 25-213.
Project description: Great River Energy and Todd Wadena Electric Cooperative requested local review, pursuant to Minnesota Rule 7850.5300 for a half mile long 115-kV transmission line, substation upgrades, and associated facilities located southwest of Clarissa in Eagle Valley Township (Project). The proposed line would exit the Iona Substation, run east (replacing the existing 34.5-kV line) and connect to the existing Minnesota Power "47" 115-kV line with a new switch pole. Proposed poles are 75- to 85-foot-tall single wood poles, approximately 350 to 450 feet apart. A 100-foot-wide right-of-way easement is proposed. Todd County will conduct a public hearing as part of their Conditional Use Process. The Environmental Assessment (EA) is available upon request at the Planning & Zoning Office. These reports were received via the Minnesota Duty Officer prior to the submission deadline for this edition of the EQB Monitor. They represent the raw data/information provided by callers. Submit a notice to the EQB Monitor
The EQB Monitor is a weekly publication announcing environmental review documents, public comment periods and other actions of the Environmental Quality Board. The EQB Monitor is published every Tuesday at noon. Submissions to the EQB Monitor are due by 4:00 p.m. on the Tuesday one week prior to the intended publication date.
