1st Semester Conferences

1st semester conferences will be held at the high school on Tuesday and Thursday, November 13th & 15th from 4:15-8:00pm. Parents can look up mid-quarter grades through parent portal starting Tuesday, Nov 13th. Mid-quarter markings will not be printed at the high school except by individual request.  Building maps, teacher locations and other information will be available on-line and in the front lobby of both buildings. Conferences should be kept to 5 minutes, if further time is needed an individual conference time can be made with the teacher.

AVID Families:

Please join the AVID Elective Teachers on Tuesday, November 13th from 5pm-5:45pm in the East Media Center.

  • Samples of AVID binders and why they are important
  • Watch a tutorial – learn what your child is doing and why it is important
  • Meet the AVID elective teachers
  • Hear stories from experienced AVID students – how the program prepared them for more rigorous courses


NEW: Parent/Teacher Conference Nights Daycare:

CHS is pleased to offer a daycare option for those bringing additional children with to parent-teacher conferences this year.  We have a wonderful group of Child Psychology and Development high school students who are eager to put what they’ve been learning in class into action as they play with your children while you attend your high schooler’s conferences.  Daycare will be located in room E109 in the East building and will run from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on November 13th and 15th.  The high school students will run the daycare but will be monitored by Mrs. Piechowski (Child Psychology/Development teacher) just down the hall.  Maximum capacity for children in the daycare at one time will be 15, so please be aware you may be turned away if we are at capacity when you arrive.  Children dropped off at the daycare must be toilet-trained.  Any questions please contact Megan Piechowski:


Bake Goods for Sale

The cooks will have rolls and cookies available for sale in the east building. Proceeds go towards the Cook's Scholarship Fund.

Career Center News


Learn about scholarship opportunities, where to find them and how to apply.  Sessions are hosted by CHS Counselors and Career Center Specialist and will be held during conferences in the Career Center W411.  The same information will be presented each session.

College Admissions Representatives will visit the Career Center during LEAP.  Click here for the November schedule.

FAFSA Completion Night

Centennial High School will host a FAFSA Completion Night on Tuesday, November 20  from 5:00PM – 7:00PM in the West Learning Commons Computer Lab.  Financial Aid professionals will be there to assist students and parents in filing the FAFSA form.  This is a free event and open to all seniors and their families.  More info can be found here

Senior Advisory Task Deadline – January 16, 2019:

All advisory career tasks for seniors are due on Wednesday, January 16th.  This includes the senior resume as well as any task from a previous year which has not been completed yet.  Students are required complete all four advisory tasks to graduate from Centennial

Blood Drive

Senior Class Committee will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, November 20th.

Students aged 16 and up will be donating and working at this event.

Community members are welcome to donate from 7:30-1:30 in the east building.

STEM Fundraiser Yankee Candles

Hey there STEM Fans!  Centennial's Robotics and Science Olympiad clubs have joined up to raise money for supplies, travel, and competition entry fees.  We hope you will take a look at our Yankee Candle fundraiser at the following site: and type in our code:  999987243.  You can also order in person from a member of either group.  Forty percent of your purchase goes straight to our programs, and you get some lovely scents for your home - or gifts for the upcoming holiday season.  Thank you for your continued support!!

Ski/Snowboard Club Info

Centennial High School Ski/Snowboard Club is gearing up for the slopes, and we are excited for another fun, snow-filled winter.  

Registration form and payment are due by December 3, 2018

Register at If unable to access feepay, submit paper forms to Mr. Haag (E223).

Registration will be taken on a first come first served basis, as long as there is space available on busses. 

Students should plan to attend the following Ski Club meeting in order to participate: November 5, 2018 in room # 223 LEAP A&B.

Senior All Night Party Info

If you follow us on social media, you may have already seen that our party location had changed for the first time ever! Our seniors will be the first class to have their SANP at a location other than the high school. This year’s SANP will be held at Bowlero in Blaine! We’re super excited about this, and think the kids will have a blast! If you have not registered yet, it is not too early to do so. There are 2 ways to register. Either online at or pick up/drop off a paper copy registration form in the East building office with cash/check attached. Prices go up after 1/1/2019, so register soon!

Monthly Meeting:   The next Meeting will be held on Thursday December 6th @6:30 pm at the Bonfire in the Village. Hope to see you there. 

Fundraising:   Are you creative, ambitious, energetic and looking for a way to help out on the SANP committee? We are REALLY looking for a fundraising chairperson! If this sounds like a position for you, please email us! We’d love to have you on board!

The Fill a Truck” clothing fundraiser with the Epilepsy Foundation will take place THIS Sat, November 3rd in the high school middle parking lot from 9am-1pm. If you have things to donate, but cannot make those times, please email us at and we will work out something to pick up your items prior to the event. Items needed and accepted are:

  • Clothing (men’s women's, children's)
  • Shoes (all types)
  • Bed and bath (sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, tablecloths)
  • Clothing accessories (hats, gloves, scarves, ties)
  • Personal accessories (purses, wallets, belts, bags)
  • Small appliances, books (novels, children's, non-fiction)
  • Small toys, small electronics
  • Kitchenware (silverware, bakeware, pots, pans)

The Schwan’s Cares campaign is still in full swing! You can use this link for every purchase made through Schwan’s- there is no limit! So please pass this link onto anyone who orders through Schwan’s. 20% of ‘goods” purchases and 40% of e-gift card purchases come directly back to our seniors!

Heggies Cash-N-Carry will happen on Tuesday November 13th and Thursday the 15th at conferences. We’ll be set up in the East building. No ordering necessary, the pizza’s will be there on hand!

Also, we have these awesome door mats for sale now! There are 2 styles to choose from. They are 2x3 with a nice rubber backing and a nicely serged edging.  They are perfect for indoor and outdoor use! $25 each. They are going fast, so please email quickly to get yours. If there are any left at conference time, they will also be there for sale.

Thanksgiving Baked Goods

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and the East Food Service would like to help to help you with your rolls, pies and cookies to make your holiday less stressful.

  • Rolls:   white or wheat $4.00 a dozen or $2.00 a half dozen
  • Pies:   10” Apple, cherry, pumpkin, pecan, or blueberry $9.00 each
  • Cookies:  chocolate chip, chocolate chocolate chip, sugar, snickerdoodle, M&M, ginger, gluten free chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, white chocolate macadamia nut.   $5.00 a dozen or $3.00 a ½ dozen

Order by November 8th by returning this e-mail. Pick-up and pay on November 21st at the East Kitchen.
