1st Semester Conferences

1st semester conferences will be held at the high school on Tuesday and Thursday, November 13th & 15th from 4:15-8:00pm. Parents can look up mid-quarter grades through parent portal starting Tuesday, Nov 13th. Mid-quarter markings will not be printed at the high school except by individual request.  Building maps, teacher locations and other information will be available on-line and in the front lobby of both buildings. Conferences should be kept to 5 minutes, if further time is needed an individual conference time can be made with the teacher.

Bake Goods for Sale

The cooks will have rolls and cookies available for sale in the east building. Proceeds go towards the Cook's Scholarship Fund.

Career Center News


MEA is a good time to visit a college campus.  Many colleges have planned group visits over the MEA break.  Colleges are in session on Thursday and Friday so parents/students can experience the day with college students on campus.  Check with the individual college to sign up for a campus visit. 

Pay Less for College Night – Tuesday, October 23rd 6:30pm-8:00pm in the PAC

This session is designed to help educate parents on ways to get the most out of the financial aid system, reduce taxes, and find ways to pay less for their child’s education. Registration is not required.  More information can be found here.

National College Fair Field Trip – Juniors and AVID students interested in attending the field trip to the National College Fair on Thursday, October 25th must sign up using Fee-Pay.  Deadline to sign up is Sunday, October 21st at midnight or sooner as space is limited and may fill up.  The cost is $7.00.  More information can be found here.

Financial Aid Night – Tuesday, October 30 7:00-8:00pm in the West Learning Commons - Learn how to access financial aid including federal and state grants, scholarships, loans, and work study.  Learn about the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), what it means and how to fill out the form.  Jeffrey Olson, Director of Financial Aid at Bethel University, will present the financial aid information.  Parents and students of all grade levels are welcome.

Colleges Waiving Application Fees – Some Minnesota colleges are waiving the $20 application fee if seniors apply during the week of October 22-26, 2018.   More information and a list of participating colleges can be found here.

Indian Education Program Info

American Indian Students are invited Saturday, November 3, 2018 for a full day along the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers with two Dakota  Cultural and Language Specialists.  We will Spend the day visiting local sites of significance from an indigenous perspective: Pilot know, Wakan Tipi, and Mounds Park.  For more information:

Ski/Snowboard Club Info

Centennial High School Ski/Snowboard Club is gearing up for the slopes, and we are excited for another fun, snow-filled winter.  

Registration form and payment are due by December 3, 2018

Registration will be taken on a first come first served basis, as long as there is space available on busses. 

Students should plan to attend the following Ski Club meeting in order to participate: November 5, 2018 in room # 223 LEAP A&B.

Halloween Hustle 5K (all ages)

The whole family can join in on this fun run event benefitting the Centennial School District and the Centennial Alumni Scholarship Fund.  Run or walk the scenic trails in your best costume.  Additional alumni activities will take place after the run.  Participants registered by Oct. 16 will receive a long sleeve t-shirt.  The Halloween Hustle is held Oct. 27 at Chomonix Golf Course.

Senior All Night Party Info

Epilepsy Foundation Fundraiser:

We’ve kicked off our fundraising events with partnering up with the Epilepsy Foundation for a clothing drive on Saturday November 3rd from 9am-1pm in the CHS parking lot. We will earn money for every pound of clothing and household items collected, which in turn will be used to provide services for people suffering from seizure disorders. If you have any questions, please email us at centennialSANP@gmail. We also encourage you to spread the word and let your friends know about this opportunity to help us fundraise.

Items needed and accepted:

  • Clothing (men’s women's, children's)
  • Shoes (all types)
  • Bed and bath (sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, tablecloths)
  • Clothing accessories (hats, gloves, scarves, ties)
  • Personal accessories (purses, wallets, belts, bags)
  • Small appliances, books (novels, children's, non-fiction)
  • Small toys, small electronics
  • Kitchenware (silverware, bakeware, pots, pans)

If you cannot make this event, but have items you’d like to donate, please contact us and someone from the committee would be happy to arrange your pickup prior to the event.

We will be selling Heggies pizza at conferences on November 13th and 15th! No need to order- just pay and take! We will be located just inside the front doors of the East building. Cash and checks accepted.

Referendum 2018

Centennial Schools is conducting a referendum on Tuesday, November 6, with two ballot questions—an operational levy to maintain programs and services in our schools and a bond to help ensure safety for students and staff, update aging facilities and technology. You can learn more about the referendum and these two questions online.
