Minnesota Veterans 4 Veterans Trust Fund approved a $20,000 to Every Third Saturday Homeless Veterans Organization

At the September 2017 Minnesota Veterans 4 Veterans Trust fund monthly meeting, the following grant was approved by the eight-member board of directors: Every Third Saturday Organization is located at 4303 East 54th Street, Minneapolis MN 55417. This 501c(3) charity was awarded $20,000 to be dedicated to working with homeless Veterans and their families by helping pursue a better future. They distribute necessary items (clothing, hygiene kits, sleeping bags, boots etc.) to hundreds of homeless Veterans.

The objectives of Every Third Saturday are to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of homeless Veterans and their families. The grant is needed to establish programs that are not currently available which will encourage connection with others and discourage isolation and withdrawal.  The organization will also commit funds to outreach efforts including the rebranding of a van donated by the DAV and much more.
