Hwy 371 and 210—Baxter interchange: 2028-2030 construction
Time to shift gears!
We’re moving towards the construction phase, and we’ve got a new webpage and a brand‑new video to show you what’s ahead for the Baxter interchange. It’s an easy way to see what’s coming and how the project will take shape.
Visual of the future roundabout at Excelsior Rd. and Dellwood Dr. with pedestrian connections. The landscaping of the roundabout to mirror the one at Excelsior and Edgewood Dr., west of the bridge.
What to expect
The new interchange will take three work seasons to complete, with 2029 being the year with the biggest impacts because of a full closure at the intersection. You’ll notice changes as crews work under the road, raise the roadway, and build new bridges. Detours will be needed to keep everyone moving safely.

Schedule at a glance
2028: Prepare work areas and begin building the interchange and connections
2029: Construct the interchange and complete the major work
2030: Wrap up any remaining work
