Financial assistance available now for MN certified small business

Micro Grant

Eligible Minnesota-based certified small businesses (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Targeted Group, Economically Disadvantaged, and/or Veteran-Owned businesses) may apply for up to $2,000 of financial assistance to increase their business capacity and eligibility for MnDOT contracts. Funding is provided through reimbursement and is available through April 29, 2022 or until funding is exhausted.

Eligible certified small businesses are:

• Minnesota-based
• Working on or actively pursuing MnDOT contracts

Financial assistance is available for:

• Technical training
• Website development
• Technical certifications required to perform specific MnDOT contracts
• Other areas of assistance based on the Business Development Plan approved by MnDOT as part of the Small Business Pathway to Success Program
• Purchasing highway heavy construction related books or software
